DW_Booking Flyer Hi ResWe are over the moon to announce Constant Flux has had its application approved by the Arts Council England to fund putting the incredible DANIEL WAKEFORD on tour this Summer!

I’m sure most of you know him by now but if you’re not sure you might have seen Daniel wow audiences regularly at The Rock House in Brighton, support slots on both the PKN / Zombie Crash tour and The Fish Police tour and from his many show-stealing TV appearances. We’re delighted to have our third tour happen with Daniel.

This has been a long time in the making and we are all super excited about him getting out on the road. He’ll have a new album out (getting finished this week!) and currently we have dates in Bradford, Todmorden, Brighton, Bristol & London with others on their way… We are looking for more though, so if you or someone you know is interested in bringing the most charismatic man in pop to your town please get in touch!! Either direct through here or email –

Bring on the summer!!!

We may have been a bit quiet on our website recently but we’ve still been working away putting on some great gigs and putting together some great new releases for you.

2Decks Band The Rock House nights in Brighton have been going from strength to strength and the last one at the Green Door Store in July was easily the best one yet, such a great turn out and some incredible performances, including the debut performance of 2Decks with a full band, Witching Waves on their own and as part of Dedji & Ryan’s set and Daniel Wakeford bringing the house down with encores a plenty!

The Rock House website has had a bit of an update to mark more of a difference between the nights at The Westhill (@Westhill) and our nights at The Green Door Store (@GDS) which you should check out… If you know anyone that wants to play either night you can get in contact with us here –

Ok, now on to the big news, that we’ve finally got a new release out & it’s the amazing Richard Rock N Roll!

RichardRnR Cassette

RICHARD ROCK ‘N’ ROLL comes from the depths of Billingshurst to perform his unique brand of Rock n Roll to the masses. A regular for many years at the long running integrated night The Rock House in Brighton. Richard RnR could rival Mark E Smith in the number of musicians he’s had back him over the years, turning up on the night with a folder of lyrics and a head full of ideas, a band will be formed there and then and you never quite know what will happen. He’s had members of The Sticks, The Soft Walls, Sauna Youth, The Get Rids, The Go! Team, Cuz and many more in his backing bands over the years. ‘Everybody Is Crazy’ is the document of a total of 6 hours spent in a room with Richard Phoenix from Sauna Youth & Monotony in 2011.

We’ve made 30 copies on Pea green tapes, which you can buy from our shop. We’ve only got a handful left already so get in there quick!

Richard played the Sauna Youth album launch a few months ago & was absolutely incredible, here’s a great photo of us from that night…

More updates soon! xx

Happy New Year! Just wanted to post some pictures from The Rock House Xmas party at The Green Door Store. It turned out to be such an amazing night, too many highlights to mention (but The Sticks/Rock House Band collaboration was truly memorable!). Thanks to everyone that came down and packed the place out!

Last month we had the Rock House Halloween Special at The Green Door Store in Brighton. We got a killer line-up together with Zombie Crash, Sealings, 2Decks, The Rock House Band and Sabien Gator all coming down to play. It was such an amazing night, thanks to everyone that came down and thanks to Emily Mary-Barnett for sending us these photos…

The next Rock House is next week on Tuesday the 18th Nov at the Westhill Hall in Brighton and the one after that (the Xmas Party!) is on Tuesday the 16th Dec at the Green Door Store in Brighton. Check the Rock House blog for more details!

cf_074We submitted the evaluation for The Fish Police UK Tour to the Arts Council over the weekend and are very excited to now share it with everyone.

Again working in conjunction with the brilliant Olgeta Projects, this time around we were able to work together throughout the project to create the final evaluation. We could talk through expectations and predictions of what we thought would happen during the nascent stages of the project and then compare these with how it all turned out in the end, which has turned out to be a very enlightening experience! I will say again, Olgeta Projects have managed to help elevate the underlying ideas and concepts behind taking a band out on a DIY tour to something far beyond what I even imagined. The idea is that by sharing this information it might give people more tools themselves to make things like this happen. Read the evaluation and help make something happen, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch!

With massive thanks to Bryony and Olgeta Projects, Mat Dale and Owen Richards for their photos, everyone that sent in their feedback, quotes and experiences, Heart N Soul for their trust and support and of course The Fish Police for being amazing.

Rock House GDS (20-05-2014) WEBWe’re very happy to tell you about the beginning of a regular night we’re going to be doing at the Green Door Store in Brighton. The Rock House is now going to be splitting its time between The Westhill Hall where we’ve been now for over 4 years and the Green Door Store where we held our Xmas special last year, which was an incredible success!

So from now on we’ll be swapping between the two venues, you can find more information about dates on the Rock House website.

The Green Door Store gigs we’re changing things up a little bit though… as well as having the regular musicians and bands from The Rock House nights performing we will be inviting guest bands from the local DIY music scene to come and perform and get involved with the improvised set of the Rock House Band!

It’ll be a brilliant way for people who might not normally come down to our nights to find out about them and, also to get to play with some of the great bands and musicians in and around Brighton.

The first of these is happening next Tuesday! On the 20th May, we’ve got a great line-up sorted for it including The Revs from Worthing AND Teardrop Factory, a Brighton band on the brilliant Brighton-based label Faux Discx. It’s going to be a great way to kick off the shows we’re going to hold there.

Line-up on the night –

Daniel Wakeford
Catherine O’Rourke
Teardrop Factory
The Revs
Rock House Band
Dancing Rock Queens

Doors at 7pm
Music from 7:30pm – 9:30pm
£3 entry (carers free/donation)
