Soda Beat, the first integrated live music night in London for musicians with learning disabilities was set-up in partnership with Club Soda in Croydon. Constant Flux supported the initial phase of the project, which is now independently run by Club Soda.
It was set up in response to the growing learning disability music scene in the UK. Soda Beat started in April 2013 after the Arts Participation Officer for Croydon Council visited The Rock House. Inspired by what he saw and heard he invited Constant Flux to help set up Soda Beat in Croydon. Curated by the musicians in The Carbonators and supported by Club Soda. It is held at Matthew’s Yard in Croydon. Soda Beat is a regular gig in Croydon.
